Backup your Windows PC and protect your valuable data using Acronis True Image Home Version 11 and our easy to follow tutorials. Tutorial 1 – InstallationAcronis True Image Home Version 11 is an excellent and fully featured backup package that can cater for almost any backup requirements. In our first tutorial we will show you how to install this powerful software on your Windows XP or Vista PC. Before you can install the software, you need to obtain the latest version. Visit the
Acronis home page
to obtain the latest version of Acronis True Image Home. Use either the “buy now” button to purchase the software (in which case you will be sent a serial number and a download link) or download the free trial version directly from this page. Once you have downloaded the file, double click on it to start the installation, you will then see the window below:- 
Choose “Install Acronis True Image Home” to start the installation process. You will see the following window appear:- 
After a short delay, the following window will appear:- 
Click on “Next >” and the following window will then be displayed:- 
Scroll down to read the licence agreement and if you are happy with the terms and conditions, make sure to select “I accept this agreement” and click on “Next >”. The following window will then be displayed:- 
Enter the serial number you obtained when you purchased the product. If you are installing the trial version, you will not see this window. When you have entered your serial number correctly, click on “Next >”. The following window will now be displayed:- 
On this window you can choose an installation type, choose “Typical” installation and then click on “Next >”. Windows Vista users will now see a window like the one shown below:- 
Windows Vista users only – you must grant the installer permission to continue. If you see a window like the one above, enter your password (if prompted) and/or click on “Continue”. You should now see the window shown below:- 
On this window you can choose who can use Acronis True Image on your PC. If you share your PC with other people in your family and you don't want them to be able to change or edit backup settings, choose “Install for the current user only”. Once you have made your decision, click on “Next >” to move to the window shown below:- 
The installer gives us one last chance to check all our settings. Click on “Proceed” if you are happy, otherwise click “Back” to go back and change anything that does not seem to be in order. Once you click on “Proceed” you will move to the window shown below:- 
There will be a delay while various files are copied to your computer. When the process is complete, the following window will be displayed:- 
Congratulations! You have successfully installed Acronis True Image. Click on “Close” to exit the installer. 
Before you can start using the software, you will be prompted to reboot. Click on “Yes” to reboot your computer. Once your computer has restarted, you will be able to use Acronis True Image and start making backups. Back from Acronis True Image Home to List of Backup Tutorials
