Change your Windows XP boot screen easily and safely using Stardock's free BootSkin utility - Tutorial 1 - InstallationBootSkin is a free utility for Windows XP only that can change the boring Windows XP screen you see when your computer is starting up into a different design of your choosing. Most Windows XP PC's are compatible with this process, though a small number are not. The best way to find out if your PC is compatible is to try the program and see if it works. Installing the program is really easy. The first thing you need to do is download the latest version of BootSkin from Stardock's website. Download the file to a location on your PC that you can easily find. Once the file is downloaded, double click on it to start the installation process. You should then see the window shown below:-
Click "Next >". You will be taken to the window shown below:-
Here you can choose where to install the program. The default location is correct for most users, so simply click on "Next >". You will then see the window shown below:-
Simply click on "Next >", the program will then install. When the installation process is complete, you will see the window shown below:-
