Use Stardock LogonStudio Vista to change your Windows Vista logon screen - Tutorial 1 - Installation

If you're bored with the same old logon screen every time you start your Windows Vista PC, LogonStudio can help. You can now completely change the way your PC greets you when it first starts up. Note that LogonStudio is not suitable for computers on an Active Directory domain. Active Directory domains are usually found in corporate settings and are managed by server computers usually running a Windows Server operating system. Unless you have configured your own Active Directory server, you will not have an Active Directory domain in your home.
