Outpost has been designed to offer the best balance between aggressive security and convenience and ease of use. Installing the product is really easy and Agnitum offer a 30 day trial to see if it meets your needs. To get started, download the latest version of Outpost here. Once the file has downloaded, double click to open it. If you are a Vista or Windows 7 user and have User Account Control enabled you may be required to enter your administrator password and/or grant permission for the installer to continue. You should then see a window like the one below:-
Select your preferred language and click "OK", English should be set by default, you should then see the window below:-
You must choose "Run" in order for the installation to continue. The following window will then appear:-
Click on "Next >" to move on to the window shown below:-
Scroll down to read the license agreement and if you agree, click on "Accept" to move on to the window shown below:-
Choose between Simple or Expert installation on this window. For this tutorial, we will be using Simple mode. Once you click on Simple mode, the installation will start. Wait while files are copied and configured. When the process is complete, the following window will be shown:-
Click on "Finish". The window shown below will then appear:-
You will now be prompted to restart your computer. Once rebooting is complete, you can move straight on to our next tutorial.
