Learn how to speed up Vista using Performance Information and Tools - Tutorial 1 - Introducing Performance Information and Tools and controlling start-up applications

In this video tutorial, we take a look at how to speed up Vista using the Performance Information and Tools section of the control panel to disable unnecessary start-up applications. Vista users can also use the System Configuration Utility to do this, but using Windows Defender Software Explorer via the Performance Information and Tools section of the control panel is more user friendly.

Please allow for a short delay while the video loads, once loading is complete, press the play button below the video to start playback.

Additional Notes You may have noticed our narrator saying that a User Account Control prompt should appear and yet on the video this is never seen. Because of additional security features in Windows Vista UAC, our screen recording software is not able to show these prompts as they appear.
