Learn how to speed up Vista using Performance Information and Tools - Tutorial 3 - Adjusting indexing options

In this video tutorial, we investigate another way to speed up Vista using the Performance Information and Tools section of the control panel. Indexing services in Windows Vista store the locations of files and folders on your computer so that they can be found quickly by using Windows Vista integrated search. However, creating these index files can consume extra computer resources. Disabling indexing services in Windows Vista might save you some computer memory and processor time, but keep in mind that disabling them can make searching your computer much slower.
