Hard drives are mechanical devices and hence are prone to failure. All hard drives in regular use will eventually fail, this is an unfortunate but unavoidable truth. While we cannot stress enough the importance of having a proper back up strategy, we understand that backing up can be expensive, time consuming and difficult for novice users. For this reason, ACEL have invested in a high quality data recovery service that can recover data from damaged hard drives, even in many cases if the drive is no longer recognised by the PC.

We are so confident in our service that we offer a no fix no fee guarantee, that is, if we cannot recover any data from your failing hard drive, you pay not one penny towards the cost of the inspection! Forensic data recovery laboratories can charge upwards of £500 simply to inspect a failing hard drive!

We will recover as much of your old hard drive as possible to a new hard drive of the same capacity or greater. You may supply your own hard drive or we can source one for you. Please note, once your hard drive is recovered, additional work may need to be done to repair your operating system. We can optionally carry this work out for you at our regular workshop repair rate of £25 inc VAT on top of the cost of the data recovery.

Please note - Recovering data from mechanically failing hard drives is a time intensive process, full data recovery can take upwards of three days, depending on hard drive size and the nature of the fault.
