Securely backup your disks with Acronis True Image 2012 - Tutorial 5 - Using bootable rescue media

Now we have a bootable rescue disk, we can run Acronis True Image without starting Windows. In this video, we'll give you a brief tour of the rescue CD and explain how to use it.

Additional notes

Not all network attached storage devices are accessible when using the bootable rescue disk. Be sure to test your device before relying on it for disk backup / disaster recovery.

To boot from CD, DVD or other media, you may need to reconfigure your computers BIOS. This process varies from computer to computer, but this tutorial shows the basics of how it is done. If you are unsure, consult a computer professional.

Users in Europe:- If you are unable to type the '\' (backslash) character in the recovery environment, try pressing the '#' (hash) key instead.
