Outsmart Windows spyware with Ad-Aware 2007 and our easy to follow tutorials! – Tutorial 1 – InstallationReady to use Ad-Aware to remove Windows spyware from your PC? Excellent, first, you need to download the latest version from Lavasoft, click here to visit the Ad-Aware download page. The download link should be at the top of the page. When the download is complete, double click on the file you downloaded to start the installation process. (Note:- Windows Vista users only – After clicking the file to begin installation, enter your administrator user name and password and/or click continue if prompted to do so by Windows User Account Controls). The following window will then appear:-
There will be a short pause while a few files are copied. Once this is complete, the following window will then appear:- 
Press “Next >” to be taken to the following window:-
Scroll down to read the licence agreement and when you are happy, click the button that is labelled “I accept the license agreement” then press “Next >” to move on to the next window:-
Here, enter your name in the box which says “Full Name”. You can optionally enter an organization name in the second box, or just leave it blank. In the bottom half of the window, we can decide if we want to make the program available to other users of this computer. If you have more than one user account on your system, you can choose to make the program available to everyone, or just to you (the user you are currently logged in as). Remember that Ad-Aware needs to change system files in order to remove all Windows spyware so you must be logged in as an administrator to use it. If you want to hide the program from other users of your computer, select “Only for me”. If you don’t have any other user accounts or you are unsure what to do, stick with the default option “Anyone who uses this computer”. When you have decided, press “Next >” to move on to the next window:- 
Make sure “Standard installation” is selected and click on “Next >”.
Everything is now ready to install, so press “Next >” to move on to the next window:-
The installer does one last check to make sure you are ready. Click on “Next >” to start copying the files to your computer.
There is a short pause while files are copied across, when everything is done, the following window is displayed:- 
If you purchased a licence for Ad-Aware plus or professional, enter it now and press OK. Otherwise, press Cancel to move on to the window shown below:- 
Installation is complete and we are ready to run Ad-Aware 2007 to scan and remove Windows spyware! The program will launch as soon as you click “Finish”. Back to List of Anti-spyware Tutorials
