Additional Notes
Windows Vista Users - Microsoft has changed the locations of the "My Documents" folders on Windows Vista. If you see a "Documents and Settings" folder, do not try to open it or back it up. Instead, look for the "Users" folder, which is normally on the C: drive (or whichever drive Windows Vista is installed to). See the picture below for an example:-
In the video, why were you prompted for your password twice?
Because the backup location chosen in the video was on another computer or device on the network. The first time True Image prompts us for our user name and password in the video, it has already filled out the details automatically. This is the user name and password that the program will use to log on to the other computer or network device that you backup to. If you use a different user name and/or password to access your other computer, you will need to enter those login credentials at that point. If you are not backing up to another networked computer, you will not be asked to confirm your password at that stage.
We recommend all users take the time to follow this tutorial and schedule a backup of any important files or folders on their computers. If you don't schedule a backup, it's all too easy to forget to backup at all, or put it off to another day.
