Change your Windows XP boot screen easily and safely using Stardock's free BootSkin utility - Tutorial 2 - Using Bootskin

Now that BootSkin is installed, it's time to try changing your boot screen. In this video tutorial we show you how to apply a new boot screen with BootSkin and also how to download a new one from the Internet. Because a small number of Windows XP machines are incompatible with BootSkin, this video also shows you what to do if something goes wrong.

Please allow for a short delay while the video loads. When loading is complete, press the play button to start the video.

Problems viewing video content? Click here (or press F11 to toggle full screen mode).

Additional Notes If your PC turns out to be incompatible with BootSkin, you may wish to try an earlier version of the software. You can find earlier versions of the software on the BootSkin download page.

If, when trying to use BootSkin, you cannot boot your PC and you do not see the boot menu that appears in the video, press F8 repeatedly during the start-up process. This will force Windows to boot into safe mode.
