Change mouse pointers and customize your Windows Vista desktop with our easy video tutorialIf you want to change mouse pointers on your Windows Vista PC, either to personalise your computer or to make using your computer easier, then follow our easy video guide. In the video, we'll show you how you can change your mouse pointers (also known as cursors) and how you can download new pointers from the Internet.
Windows XP users - If you surfed onto this page looking for a tutorial on how to change pointers and
cursors on your operating system,
Additional notes - As mentioned in the video, many cursor/pointer packs come bundled as zip files. Not confident working with zip files? This page explains a little more about them. Cursor FX - Some cursor packages on customize.org require Cursor FX to be installed. Cursor FX is a special program that takes cursor customization to a whole new level. We take a look at this great utility in this tutorial. Running a limited user account? Lots of the pointer schemes designed for Windows XP which provide a scheme.inf file for installation do not install correctly when using limited user accounts. They will appear to install correctly but then will not show up in the list of pointer schemes. To get around this limitation, temporarily make your limited account into an administrator account, install the pointer scheme then change your account back again. See our user accounts tutorial if you can't remember how to do this.
