Protect yourself from computer viruses for free using Grisoft AVG – Tutorial 4 – Performing a manual virus scan

Now that AVG is installed and configured, we will show you how to manually scan for computer viruses on your system. By default the AVG scheduler sets a scan to run once a day, but if for any reason you want to run a scan immediately, follow this tutorial.

Additional Notes

Notice how, in the video, some files are marked as “changed” by the virus scanner? Do not worry about these files, they are system files that have changed since the last scan, probably as part of an automatic system update. They are not infected with viruses or any kind of malicious software.
