Additional notes
If you schedule an automatic backup to a removable or external drive of any kind, you should be aware that sometimes
Windows will assign a different drive letter to your device when you remove then reinsert it. An automatic backup will
fail if it cannot find the drive it is looking for, if you need to change drive letters, see
this tutorial
(for windows XP) or this tutorial
(for Windows Vista). Missed tasks:- Normally, if your computer is turned off when a backup task is scheduled, it won't run again until the next scheduled time. If you are running Windows XP, make sure that your computer will be on at the time you schedule your backups! If you are a Windows Vista or Windows 7 user, you may be interested in viewing this supplemental tutorial which shows you how to get around this limitation. Thanks go to the helpful folks at the Genie Backup forum for this valuable tip!
