Additional notes Download Directories - The default download directory for Windows XP is the desktop, whereas the default download directory for Vista and Windows 7 is Users\(your username)\Downloads. Remember that when you open an executable file from the internet, you are allowing that file to make changes to your PC. Always run an anti-virus program and never open files from sites you do not trust.
