Learn how to download new files to your computer using Microsoft Internet Explorer

If you want to try out new software and complete several of our tutorials, you'll need to learn how to download files from the internet. Fortunately, it's very easy to do this. The video below will show you step by step how you can download a file from our site, and the technique is the same for most sites on the internet.

Additional notes

Download Directories - The default download directory for Windows XP is the desktop, whereas the default download directory for Vista and Windows 7 is Users\(your username)\Downloads.

Remember that when you open an executable file from the internet, you are allowing that file to make changes to your PC. Always run an anti-virus program and never open files from sites you do not trust.
