In this video we demonstrate how to reinstall Windows 7. We'll be doing a complete reinstallation of Windows 7 by first removing the old operating system. We will show you how to format your hard drive and completely remove the old operating system. This video also shows how to install Windows 7 from scratch since the procedure is exactly the same as performing a full reinstallation.

Please exercise caution when following this tutorial!


Remember that ALL data on your computer will be removed as a result of following this tutorial. Your computer will be reset completely and will be the same or similar to when you first purchased it. You must make sure to backup any data on the computer that you want to keep. We also recommend that you read our guide to reinstalling Windows before you begin. If you cannot start your Windows 7 PC, you may wish to try a startup repair first before committing to a full reinstallation.

Additional notes

Your computer will restart several times during this installation process, do not remove the Windows 7 DVD during the installation. You should also ignore any subsequent "Press any key to boot from CD" messages. You only need to start from the DVD once, after that you must load/boot from your hard drive.
