Remember that ALL data on your computer will be removed as a result of following this tutorial. Your computer will be reset completely and will be the same or similar to when you first purchased it. You must make sure to backup any data on the computer that you want to keep. We also recommend that you read our guide to reinstalling Windows before you begin. If you cannot start your Windows Vista PC, you may wish to try a startup repair first before committing to a full reinstallation. Alternatively, you may wish to try the Reimage service instead.

Your computer will restart several times during this installation process, do not remove the Windows Vista DVD during the installation. You should also ignore any subsequent “Press any key to boot from CD” messages. You only need to start from the DVD once, after that you must load/boot from your hard drive.
