Installing this encoder is really easy, first visit the Lame MP3 encoder download page and click on the link under "For Audacity on Windows:". Save the file to your desktop or somewhere where you can easily access it. When the download is complete, double click on the file or choose open in your browsers download manager to start the installation process. Windows Vista and Windows 7 users will need to enter their administrator password and/or click on "Yes" if user account control prompts them to grant permission to install the software. The following window will then appear:-
Click on "Next >". The following window will then be displayed:-
Scroll down to read the license agreement and if you agree to the terms and conditions, make sure that "I accept the agreement" is selected, then click on "Next >". The following window will then appear:-
Choose a location to install the LAME program files to. The default location is fine for most users so simply click on "Next >". The following window will then be displayed:-
The installer now lets you review your settings. Click on "Install". There will then be a short pause while files are copied and configured. When the process is complete, the following window will appear:-
Installation is now complete. Click on "Finish". You can now export your Audacity project files to Mp3. We will show you how to do this in the next tutorial.
