Secure your passwords and online identities for free with LastPass - Tutorial 1 - Installation

Installing LastPass on your Windows PC is easy. The first thing you need to do is obtain the latest version of LastPass for Windows. You can obtain the latest version of the software by visiting this link. Choose either the 32bit or 64bit version depending on your operating system. Save the file to your desktop or somewhere where you can easily access it. Once the download is complete, double click on the file or choose "Open" in your browsers download manager to start the installation process. Windows Vista and Windows 7 users should then click "Yes" and/or enter their administrators password if prompted to do so by Windows User Account Control. After a short pause, the following window will then appear:-

Choose your preferred language and then click on "Next >". The following window will then be displayed:-

Click "Next >". The following window will then appear:-

Make sure "Install the LastPass plug-in for Internet Explorer" is selected, then click on "Next >". You will now be required to set up a LastPass account, we'll cover this in our next tutorial.
