Get fast and easy access to your favourite programs with RocketDock - Tutorial 1 - Install RocketDockRocketDock is a fun little desktop enhancement that adds a quick launch menu or dock to the top of your screen. On this menu, you can place your favourite programs and launch them quickly and easily. Installing RocketDock is very easy. The first thing you need to do is download the latest version from the RocketDock homepage. Visit this link to go directly to the download page. Click on the "Download RocketDock" link and save the file to your desktop or somewhere you can easily access it. When the download is complete, double click on the file or choose "Open" in your browsers download manager to start the installation process. Windows Vista and Windows 7 users will need to enter their administrator password and/or click on "Yes" if user account control prompts them to grant permission to install the software. The following window will then appear:-
Choose your preferred language for the installation. English is selected by default, so simply click on "OK". The following window will then be displayed:-
Click on "Next >". The following window will then be displayed:-
Scroll down to read the license agreement and if you agree to the terms and conditions, click on "Next >". The following window will then appear:-
Choose a location to install the RocketDock program files to. The default location is fine for most users so simply click on "Next >". The following window will then be displayed:-
If you want to create a desktop icon, make sure this lone tick/check box is enabled, then click on "Next >". The following window will then appear:-
The installer now lets you review your settings. Click on "Install". There will then be a short pause while files are copied and configured. When the process is complete, the following window will appear:-
Installation is now complete. Click on "Finish" and RocketDock will start immediately. You can now proceed directly to our next tutorial.
