How to perform a manual installation of Adobe Flash Player using Firefox
Note – Adobe Flash Player Plugin installation should now be completely automatic on new versions of Mozilla Firefox. If you need to perform a manual installation for any reason, this tutorial will show you how.

To start the manual installation, click this link. You will be taken to a page with a “Download Now” button. Click the button to start the download. Usually Adobe will offer you another program in with your download, such as Mcafee Security Scan or Google Toolbar. If you do not want this optional extra, be sure to deselect it before clicking the Download now button.
Follow the instructions on Adobe’s website to finish the download. you will need to enter your administrator password and/or click on “Yes” if Windows User Account Control prompts you to do so. The following window will then be displayed:-
Choose “Install updates automatically” so that Flash is always kept up to date, then click “Next”. The following window will then appear:-
Wait while files are copied and configured. During the process, the following window may appear:-
You must now completely close down Firefox (or the web browser you are using), including the download manager window and any other Firefox windows that are open. When you have done this, click on “Retry”. The installation will then continue. When the process is complete, the following window will appear:-
Installation is now complete. Click on “Finish”. Your browser will now open on a page that confirms you have the Flash plugin installed.
