Use Stardock MyColors to enhance your Windows experience! - Tutorial 1 - Installing MyColors

Installing and using MyColors is very easy. The easiest way to install the software is using Impulse. Impulse is Stardock Software's excellent digital distribution platform and installing software with Impulse is as simple as a few mouse clicks. You can download Impulse here and our tutorials for Impulse are available here.

If for some reason you are unable to use Impulse, you can still download and install MyColors manually. Visit this page to download the MyColors installer. Download the installer to your desktop or some location where you can easily find it. Once the download process is complete, double click on the file or select "open" from your browsers download manager to start the installation process.

Windows Vista Users - You may be required to enter your Administrators user name and password and/or grant permission to continue if Windows User Account Control prompts you to do so.

Once the installation process is started, the following window will be displayed:-

Click "Next >". The following window will then be displayed:-

Scroll down to read the license agreement and if you agree, tick the box labelled "I accept the terms of the license agreement" and then click "Next >" to move to the window shown below:-

Here you can choose an installation directory for the program. The default location is correct for most users, so simply click on "Next >". The following window will then be displayed:-

There will be a short pause while files are copied and configured. When the process is complete, the following window will be displayed :-

The installation process is now complete. Click on "Finish". You can now launch MyColors from the Start Menu.
