Why use a master password to protect other passwords? Won't hackers just steal my master password? It is much less likely for your master password to be compromised because your master password is never transmitted across the internet. Backing up your passwords - Like any other valuable information stored on your PC, it is vital that you backup your Roboform data. By default, Roboform user data is stored in the following locations:-

C:\Users\(your username)\Documents\My RoboForm Data\Default Profile (Windows Vista and Windows 7).

C:\documents and settings\(your username)\My Documents\My RoboForm Data\Default Profile (Windows XP).

Make sure to backup these folders as part of your backup strategy. If you use other computers, you may want to use a file synchronization tool to keep Roboform data synchronized between machines. You can learn more about these tools in our backup software guide.
