Protect your privacy with Eraser – A free secure wipe tool – Tutorial 3 – Shredding files
In our second Eraser tutorial video, we demonstrate how to use the secure wipe functions in the program to shred files or folders on your hard disk. Eraser makes this task easy, but be careful, once your files are shredded there's no going back. Additional Notes
The “Eraser secure move” option is a handy utility to use in conjunction with encryption software like Truecrypt. If you have sensitive files you want to move inside an encrypted container, use the secure move function to prevent anyone recovering the file from it's original location. As with files that are deleted, files that are moved are not actually removed from their original location until your computer requires that space on your hard drive to store something else.
