SkyDrive tutorial 1 – Getting started with SkyDrive
Get free online storage, backup and file sharing with Windows Live SkyDrive. Now that many of us have PC’s that are always connected to the internet, a whole host of new and exciting services are becoming available. Cloud storage, where your files are stored somewhere in the “cloud” (a buzzword that just means another computer on the internet) is one of the most useful of these new services. Having access to your files online can be very convenient, and also useful for sharing files or for backup.
In this video, we’ll give you a tour of the basic SkyDrive features. To complete this tutorial, you will need a Windows Live/Microsoft account. If you use Hotmail, Xbox or Games for Windows Live, or sign in with a Microsoft account on your Windows 8 machines, you already have an account. If not, use this link to sign up for one.

Remember that if you access your SkyDrive account from another PC that does not belong to you, such as a public computer, the computer could be deliberately infected with spyware. To combat this problem, use the single use logon code procedure documented here.
You can log in to SkyDrive with your Microsoft/Windows Live account here.
