Learn how to uninstall programs and software in Windows XP with this easy video tutorial

If you no longer require a program or piece of software on your PC, you should uninstall it to free up disc space. If the program has components that run in the background, you may also speed up your computer by uninstalling it too. This video will show you an example of a typical uninstallation process in Windows XP. The process will be slightly different for every piece of software, but if you follow the guidelines shown in the video, you should have no problems.

Additional notes

Unfortunately not all uninstaller scripts are written as well as they should be, that is why you should make an effort to ensure that the program you are uninstalling is not still running on your PC. The Task Manager can help with this, to see our Task Manager tutorial, click here.
