Additional Notes

What If there are already some numbers in the DNS server address box? If when following this tutorial, you come to enter the DNS server address and there are already some numbers entered into this box, then in most cases you can overwrite those numbers with the entries for OpenDNS. Keep a record of your old DNS server numbers just in case. You can always revert back by following this tutorial again, but entering your old DNS server address instead of the OpenDNS one.

Configuring Your Router - If you have more than one PC in your home and you have a router which allows for your PC's to share your broadband connection, you may wish to configure OpenDNS on your router rather than on each individual PC. Unfortunately there are too many different models of router for us to cover them all, but OpenDNS have some basic tutorials for popular models. Visit this page to view them. (Note that if you configure your router for OpenDNS you still need to set up limited user accounts and follow the rest of the OpenDNS tutorials if you wish to use content filtering/adult site blocking).

Those Numbers Again - For reference, the OpenDNS server addresses are 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220.
