Master the basics of Microsoft Windows 7 and find out what's new in the latest version of Windows. Windows 7 tutorial 7 - Using libraries

In Windows 7 tutorial 7, you'll learn about a powerful new feature of Windows 7, namely libraries. Libraries let you view files on your computer from a content centric rather than location centric perspective. When sifting through vast amounts of files, libraries can be very useful. You'll see what we mean when you watch the video.

Please wait a few moments while the video loads. When loading is complete, press the play button on the video control panel below the video to start playback.

Video too big? Use F11 to toggle full screen mode.

Additional notes

Adding network drives to libraries - If you store content on a network storage device (perhaps a NAS or even another computer on your home network), remember that if you add this content to a library in Windows 7, Windows will take a local copy of the data. That means all the data will be added to your computers hard drive, as well as remaining on your network device.
