In this video tutorial, we take a look at how to speed up Vista using the Performance Information and Tools section of the control panel to disable unnecessary start-up applications. Additional notes You may have noticed our narrator saying that a User Account Control prompt should appear and yet on the video this is never seen. Because of additional security features in Windows Vista UAC, our screen recording software is not able to show these prompts as they appear.
