    Hi Again,
I’m running Win7 Pro 64 bit and can’t open any USERCOOKIES folder even when logged in as hidden admin. When I try opening the folder in the OWNER folder, I get the message “YOU DON’T CURRENTLY HAVE PERMISSION TO OPEN THIS FOLDER” – “Click CONTINUE to permanently get access to this folder”. When I click CONTINUE I get the message “YOU HAVE BEEN DENIED ACCESSS TO THIS FOLDER”. “To gain access to this folder you will need to use the security tab. When I click on securioty tab the properties box opens and the owner has all permissions allowed EXCEPT SPECIAL PERMISSIONS. No matter what I do I cannot change that setting from DENY to ALLOW. Even if I log in as hidden admin and try to take ownership and change it I can’t. If I try opening another user’s COOKIES folder (as admin) I am denied access.

    Any ideas?

As always, thanx for your help.

    Hi Mikey,

That is strange, the cookies folder for my local (non admin) account opened right up without a problem. Try browsing directly to C:Users(your username)AppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsCookies as this is the actual folder and not a short-cut to it. Let me know how you get on!
