    hi there

i have several 32 gig usb flashdrives from sandisk and kingston
    all are usb 2
i seem to have a lot of problems with windows telling me that the there may be errors on the flash drive and that i should try and allow windows to correct these, with further options presented afterwards.
is this an artifical problem or is it owing to the inherent instability or corruption proneness of usb flash drives?

My understanding is it’s more to do with Windows being over cautious. Do you use the drives between several PCs? Normally it’s perfectly fine to let Windows scan the drives and fix any errors there might be.

Having said that, USB flash drives can stop working quite without warning, so always have a backup.
