Genie Backup Manager tutorial 1 – Installation
Genie Backup Manager is arguably the most powerful file-level backup solution available for Windows machines. With version 9 of the program, Genie9 have revamped the user interface and improved backup speeds significantly. In our first tutorial we will show you how to install this cutting edge backup software on your Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 PC.
Before you can install the software, you need to obtain the latest version. Visit the Genie Backup Manage Home download page or the Genie Backup Pro download page to obtain the latest version of the software. Choose either the Pro or Home version, depending on your needs. If you’re not sure which version you require, visit the Genie Homepage for more information.
Once you have downloaded the file, double click on it to start the installation, Windows Vista and Windows 7 users should enter their administrator password and/or click continue if User Account Control prompts them to do so. The following window will then be displayed:-
Click on “Next >”. The following window will then be displayed:-
Scroll down to read the end user license agreement. If you agree, click on the button labelled “I Agree” to move to the window shown below:-
Here you can choose where to install the files on your computer. The default location is correct for most users, so simply click on “Install”. There will be a short pause while the files are copied. When the copy process is complete, the program is ready to use.
