Macrium Reflect Tutorial 4 – Creating rescue media
By creating a complete backup of your computers system drive, you protect yourself against future disasters such as operating system or computer hard drive failure. If your computer suffers a failure such as this, you won’t be able to start your operating system. Because of this, it is important to have some rescue media that will allow you to start Macrium Reflect and restore from a backup even if Windows itself cannot start. In this tutorial, we will show you how to create rescue media. Don’t worry, it’s very easy.

Additional notes
Your PC may need reconfiguring to boot from CD, DVD or USB device. Unfortunately, the means to do this varies between computers quite significantly. We have an example of how to reconfigure an older PCs BIOS here.
