Additional notes

Running a manual virus scan can be a useful tool in the fight against malware. Many computer repair companies use these tools as a first course of action when a customer has a computer which is running slowly, or has other operating system related problems. You can also use it to check for viruses on CD or DVD discs given to you by friends or family, or even attach hard drives from other systems and scan them.
