Reinstall Windows 8 or 10 and get your system up and running again

Got a Windows problem you just can’t solve on your Windows 8 or Windows 10 machine? Perhaps you have been infected with stubborn malware? Whatever the reason, this guide will show you how to reinstall Windows 8 or Windows 10 and get your system up and running again. In this video we demonstrate how to reinstall Windows 10, but the process is almost identical on Windows 8 too. We’ll be doing a complete reinstallation of Windows 10 by first removing the old operating system entirely and then installing a completely fresh copy.

Please exercise caution when following this tutorial!

Remember that ALL data on your computer will be removed as a result of following this tutorial. Your computer will be reset completely and will be the same or similar to when you first purchased it. You must make sure to backup any data on the computer that you want to keep. We also recommend that you read our guide to reinstalling Windows before you begin.

Additional notes

Your computer may restart several times during this installation process, do not remove the Windows installation media during the installation. You should also ignore any subsequent “Press any key to boot from CD” messages. You only need to start from the DVD or USB once, after that you must load/boot from your hard drive.

Once the reinstallation process is complete, you can follow this tutorial (for Windows 8) or this tutorial (for Windows 10) if you need help setting up your computer again.
