Additional notes

Please be careful with hidden and protected operating system files – Remember that if you elect to show hidden and protected files on your computer that if you inadvertently change or move these files or folders then your computer may stop working altogether. You should never change files or folders inside the Windows directory, for example, unless specifically directed to do so by an IT technician or technical support representative.

Hiding or showing file extensions – You can read more about the “hide file extensions” option in our working with files tutorial.
