Windows 8.1 Update 1

Another new update to Windows 8, Windows 8.1 update 1, has now gone live on most users computers. The update, which will install automatically via the standard Windows update service, includes several enhancements and changes. Most of the changes are to address long-standing criticisms of the operating system, particularly where keyboard and mouse usage is concerned. For more details on what has changed, check out the official article from Microsoft here.

As a result of the update, we have updated a number of our tutorials:-

Tutorial 2 – Introduction to the Start screen
Tutorial 3 – Multitasking with Tiles
Tutorial 5 – Charm Bar Settings
Tutorial 7 – Multiple Tiles
Tutorial 9 – OneDrive (previously SkyDrive)
Tutorial 12 – Tweaking Windows 8 for desktop/laptop PCs

The Windows 8 Superguide – Second Edition will also receive a number of updated lessons too, in the form of a downloadable patch. We expect to launch this patch shortly after Easter. All customers who purchased the Windows 8 Superguide – 2nd Edition at any time will be eligible to download this update for free. Users who purchased the guide as an Amazon Kindle book will also receive a free update.
