Customize Windows sounds on your Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 PC
In this short video, we’ll show you how to customize the Windows sounds on a Windows Vista machine. Have you ever wanted to change the sounds your computer makes to something more fun or personal?, well now you can. All you need is some sound effects (in wave/.wav format) and this handy video guide.
Windows XP users – If you surfed on to this page looking for a tutorial on how to customize sounds in your operating system, click here.
Windows 7 and 8 users – Although this video was recorded using Windows Vista, the process is virtually identical in your operating system. Windows 8 users must open the Control Panel from the Start Screen, rather than the Start Menu of course.

Hey adblock user! Would you mind whitelisting us? We don't run pre-roll or even post-roll adverts on our videos and it would really help us cover our costs. Without advertising revenue we couldn't bring you any content and we really don't feel our ads spoil the site at all. Thank you!
As stated in the video, to use a sound effect with Windows Vista or Windows 7, it has to be in wave (.wav) format. The Bugs Bunny sound effect we used in the video was downloaded from SimplyTheBest.net.
