In this short video, we’ll show you how to customize the Windows sounds on a Windows Vista machine. Have you ever wanted to change the sounds your computer makes to something more fun or personal?, well now you can. All you need is some sound effects (in wave/.wav format) and this handy video guide.

Windows XP users – If you surfed on to this page looking for a tutorial on how to customize sounds in your operating system, click here.

Windows 7 and 8 users – Although this video was recorded using Windows Vista, the process is virtually identical in your operating system. Windows 8 users must open the Control Panel from the Start Screen, rather than the Start Menu of course.
